Comment from Highlands and Islands Regional MSP Tim Eagle, following Argyll and Bute Council's decision to support a single-site option at Tobermory South for the Mull Campus Project:

“Today’s decision by Argyll and Bute Council will have significant ramifications for residents across the Isle of Mull for generations to come.

“I have been deeply concerned by the consultation process carried out by the Council, and it has been made very clear to me by residents on Mull that on they feel their views have been ignored.

“It feels that this decision has been based on short-term cost implications rather than the long-term impact.

“Now that the decision has been made, it is right that Argyll and Bute Council engages with the local community and local Councillors to make this project work for children and young people on Mull”.
