Highlands and Islands Regional MSP Tim Eagle is inviting constituents from North Uist to join a meeting which will discuss arrangements for accessing cash across the island.
The meeting which will be attended by representatives of LINK, the body that carries out assessments on behalf of the major high street banks when there is a change to cash services, and Mr Eagle said he was keen to hear from local people when he discusses options with them.
The meeting will take place at Lochmaddy Village Hall on Thursday 28th August at 10.00am.
Mr Eagle said: “The provision of cash is an important service, especially for businesses but also for many residents, and it is very clear from my discussions with people in North Uist that there is concern about access arrangements.
“I would like people to have the opportunity to hear directly from LINK, and ask questions themselves, when I meet them on 28th August. I would invite anyone who would like to join the meeting to drop me an email to confirm they would like to attend, and I will ensure that they get all the details so that they can take part.
